Restaurant of the Month

I love to travel and along with traveling, I love to eat (hence- the voluptous figure!!). I thought it would be a good idea to list my favorite picks here and also highlight their features. I will be looking for restaurants that offer outside catering, have enough space to host a rehearsal dinner, bridesmaid luncheon or any other function besides just a regular dining experience. I would love to read your feedback on my suggestions and look forward to posting some of your favorite restaurants as well.

Burger and Beer Joint  1766 Bay Road, Miami, Beach, Florida 33139

Many of you are probably thinking, ok well just another place that sells burgers. Yes, they do sell burgers, but if you are not saying it with much enthusiasm then don't bother saying it! This is by far the BEST burger place I have ever been to. Luckily I am not the only one that thinks the same, the wait time can be as long as 3 hours! B&B may not have the healthiest food on the planet, but delicious it sure is! From the appetizers, the signature burgers to the 99 different kinds of beer, the service is fabulous and the atmosphere is fun, family oriented and friendly!

They currently have 2 locations, their original location is on Miami Beach near Purdy Avenue. Their second location is located near the Mary Brickell Village in the hip, downtown Miami. Both locations have space to host an intimate rehearsal dinner or a groomsmen luncheon. B&B would also be a great place to start your bachelor/bachelorette party before you hit the clubs! Now stop reading and go have your FAB burger today!

Por Fin 2500 Ponce De Leon Boulevard, Coral Gables, FL

I recently visited Por Fin and quickly remembered what drew me to visit them again. Their delicious Sangria as your welcome drink, the Ham croquettes with a side of fig marmalade as an appetizer, their delicious Torrija  as a dessert, their cappuccino as a finale and their incredible service. I'm sure you can agree with me that, having to beg for a drink refill is not the type of service you wish to receive from a restaurant with such caliber. Rest assured that once you take your seat your drink shortly follows.

In a world where Mediterranean cuisine meets Spain, Italy and France, your palate will be mesmerized by the fabulous ingredients and combined flavors used in each entree. They currently host daily specials along with a prix fixe menu. They are active participants in Miami Spice (summer restaurant promotion showcasing the best of Miami's must do eateries) provising a menu you cannot resist to turn down. Their main floor layout offers a dining room that has windows overlooking the busy Coral Gables avenue while maintaining the intimate atmosphere one deserves. The second floor offers a cozy and lavish dining experience with a sofa set that comfortably sits up to 12, a private dining area perfect for any special occasion and an outdoor patio transporting you to a European bistro. Although reservations are preferred they are not required. Larger parties should, however, contact them ahead of time to ensure availability. Enjoy your journey at Por Fin and make sure to tell your friends and family about this magnificent not so-secret location!
